Have had a piece of property in a freind's name for over twenty years. he has not shown this on his tax form's and it is in limbo as far as his financial statements go. Have now decided i want this transfered into my name as his personal finances are worrying. He told me it is in his will to go to me, but i'm not confortable with this. What would be the best way to tranfer this back into my name without much hassle. It is a relative. Thanks:sad3:

How did this piece of property end up in your friend's name? Can you prove that it truly belongs to you (e.g. paper trail or tax records)?

Was going through a nasty divorce. I have lived there for 5months out of the year for the past twenty years. Everyone concerned with property knows its mine. No paper trail . I have been paying the taxes on the property for the past twenty years and have all the receipts, except in the relative'sname.
